Fundació CTM (CTM) is a non-profit private technological centre, aiming to efficiently contribute to improving the competitiveness and the technological development of companies by providing specialised services and carrying out R&D and Innovation projects. Its activities cover sectors such as Environmental Technology, Materials Technology and Energy. CTMs Environmental Technology Department (ATA) aims at contributing to sustainable industrial and community development through the enhancement of environmental quality. The department specialises in water and wastewater treatment, water quality, water reuse, waste management and product recovery, covering all strategies defined in EU waste directive, and contaminated soils and groundwater. The environmental department also focuses on the improvement of industrial processes through applied research and technological innovation as well as Life Cycle Assessment, Life Cycle Cost Analysis and Environmental Risk Assessments. Energy department capabilities include the improvement of the efficiency for energy use, integration of renewable sources and electric mobility. The clients are mainly companies, agencies, governments and institutions, both private and public administrations that require research or innovation implementation.
