3. Entity activities and services
FEUGA is a nonprofit private foundation with more than 30 years of experience fostering technology transfer between the university and the industry. We belong to the Spanish Customized Advisory Service Network about R&D grants, promoted by the NCP (CDTI), we are also University Knowledge Transfer Office, recognized by the Spanish government. FEUGA is Technical Secretary of the Galician Environmental Technology Platform (ENVITE) and cooperates with the Galician Agroofood Technology Platform (Ptgal). Both ENVITE and Ptgal involve policy makers, the various stakeholders (scientists, business, non-governmental organisations, etc., and have been created with the support of the regional government to enhance technology transfer and promote R&D and innovation among the different stakeholders about environmental and agrofood aspects respectively, working in the development of national and regional strategies. FEUGA, as technical secretary of ENVITE, is in charge of these tasks.
According to FEUGA services, it is divided in 5 areas:
• FEUGA Innovation
• FEUGA Training and education
• FEUGA Grants
• FEUGA Dissemination
• FEUGA Management
FEUGA has joined the Institutional PPP Bio-based Industry Consortium and is also a member of Food for Life technology transfer working group, and a member of WssTP (Water supply and sanitation Technology Platform). Furthermore FEUGA works actively in the European Innovation Partnership (EIP) on Water through the Foundation participation in the Finnowater Action Group, and recently the Foundation has joined the European Factories of Future Research Association (EFFRA).
FEUGA has 4 full-time people promoting technology transfer, organizing personalised meetings between companies and specific researchers, etc. We are in contact with more than 600 hundred research groups from the three Galician Universities (Santiago de Compostela, Vigo, and A Coruña).
4. Expertise offered
• Dissemination and Communication tasks: we have wide experience in events organization (workshops, congresses, etc.) related to scientific divulgation, communication and dissemination of R&D projects and results. We promote the dialogue between the triple helix (government bodies, industry and universities) and we also maintain liaison with civil society, to disseminate and transfer the knowledge in appropriate ways “tailored” to reach the various targeted audiences:

• Management and evaluation tasks: we have experience in project management (contractual obligations, network coordination, infrastructure activities, office operations, support for activities), having participated as partner and project leader in some European projects (see section 5). Development of project monitoring and evaluation systems, definition of indicators (impact, result, output) and quantification of project results.
• Pilot Actions: implementation of R&D priorities by pilot actions. Design and development of pilot actions, which address specific needs in specific sectors.
• Policy Watch, R&D strategies: development and adjustment of strategic research agendas (companies, platforms, clusters…); public-private partnerships models; socio-economic research and support to policies; innovation indicators; economic and institutional analysis.
• Involvement of SME partners and research groups: FEUGA could involve other project partners if necessary, especially SMEs for demonstration activities or end-users, and research groups from the three Galician universities (Vigo, A Coruña and Santiago de Compostela).
