IAT is an Technological Centre created in 1989 as a private non-profit Foundation. It is located in Seville, Málaga and Cordoba (Spain), Antofagasta (Chile) and Guadalajara (Mexico) and has been certified as being of public interest. Operating under strictly professional criteria, its goal is to assist companies and institutions to improve their results while making them sustainable, by providing them value using innovative solutions.
Active member in a great number of EU funded projects both as coordinator and as partner, with more than 100 R&D and Innovation transnational projects, co-financed through different schemes such as R&D Framework Programmes, INTERREG, LIFE+, Lifelong Learning Programme, CIP, etc., among others, especially in Accompanying measures, Thematic Networks and Coordination Actions.

Construction sector:
· CICLOPE (Spanish R&D and Innovation Programme) and EnerbuiLCA (SUDOE Programme for interregional cooperation) projects: environmental impact analysis of buildings throughout their life cycle in quantifiable terms of energy consumption and associated emissions.
· RENIA (Spanish R&D and Innovation Programme) project: design and development of a software application for assessment, eco-design and environmental communication of solar systems used in building.
Furniture industry:
· M-ECO (Andalusian R&D and Innovation Programme) project:: Towards sustainability of the Andalusian furniture industry through ecodesign and ecoinnovación.
Food sector:
· ECOALIM (Spanish R&D and Innovation Programme) project: new technologies for eco-development of greener and more efficient products.
· OILCA (SUDOE Programme for interregional cooperation) project: environmental impact analysis of the production of olive oil over its life cycle.
· SOSTRICE (LIFE+ Programme) project: CO2 emission reduction of the rice cultivation through energy valorisation of the rice straw.
· Technical assistance for the development of the wine Products Environmental Footprint Category Rules (PEFCR) in the framework of EU Environmental Footprint Pilot Phase 2013-2016 (CEEV – Comite Europeen des Entreprises des Vins).
Waste management sector:
·FENIX (LIFE+ Programme) project: finding regional environmental life cycle information on packaging waste management through flexible software tools and databases (IAT work as collaborator).
Automotive industry:
· Green-Car Eco-Design (SUDOE Programme for interregional cooperation) project: eco-design for eco-innovation - The green car case.
Tourism sector:
· SOSTUR (Andalusian R&D and Innovation Programme) project: environmental impact analysis of the Andalusian tourism sector over its life cycle.
IAT coordinates the technical working group of Eco-design in the Life Cycle Management of the products in the framework of Spanish National Congress of Environment (CONAMA). Additionally, IAT provides technical support to the Spanish Certification and Standardisation Body (AENOR) in the development of Product Category Rules (according to the ISO 14025 and EN 15804 standards) in the framework of AENOR Global EPD Programme.
